United Artists Corporation (colloquial: United Artists; UA; United; MGM/UA) is a Druayan film studio, film distributor, and made-for-television film producer. It is a division of Fox Filmed Entertainment, which itself is a division of News Corporation. It was founded in 1919 when four disgruntled actors and producers (Mary Pickford, Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, D. W. Griffith) decided to form the studio as a joint venture.
Its films are co-distributed by 20th Century Fox or Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, but neither logo appears on most United Artists-distributed films. An exception is for United Artist's co-productions with Marvel Studios on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The films that are distributed by United Artists domestically (Druaya and the US) are distributed by 20th Century Fox or Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer internationally, depending on the film.
