The Google Stadia streaming service is announced for stuff Chrome runs on + Wi-Fi. It's more powerful than the XBONEX. Confirmed games at the time were Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Doom Eternal, Doom 2016 (albeit unconfirmed) and a game by Q-Games
Then at E3, announcements were that:
- It would launch in November 2019 for founders. The Base edition & Stadia Pro would arrive in 2020.
- Base edition is free. It's a digital storefront. The real subscription service, Stadia Pro, would be $10 bucks a month
- It would also be available on Android devices as a app, then expand to iOS devices & Smart TVs in 2021. A dedicated console would also come in 2021, taking place of the Chromecast
- You could also launch Stadia on the YouTube App, via trailers, walkthroughs, reviews, or let's plays of the game
- Assassin's Creed Odyssey and both of the modern Doom games are confirmed.
- And, exclusives....oh god, what has OP done?
- They would get exclusive support from Ubisoft from E3 forwards, if a previous game was on a storefront that was not the Xbox, Nintendo or PlayStation digital stores, oh boi, uPlay's dead, Steam's fucked, GOG's a bit shattered, Epic Games Store is beginning to be DoA. Also, another new exclusive was announced at the show: Rabbids Battle (RL's Mario + Rabbids, without Mario)
- Fortnite, PUBG, H1Z1 and Apex would be ported to the console, with exclusive 1000 player modes.
- Viral indie games would be ported to this service. Slender, Happy Wheels, the entire FNAF series, QWOP, Minecraft, Roblox, Doki Doki Literature Club, Flappy Bird, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Hello Neighbor, Undertale, Deltarune, Bendy and Super Meat Boy. The next FNAFs and Hello Neighbor would be exclusive to Stadia.
- San Andreas, GTAV, Vice City, GTAIV, GTAIII, Vice City Stories and Liberty City Stories would come to the service, as well as GTAVI when out
- Doom 2016, Elder Scrolls Online, Wolfenstein: Youngblood and Rage 2 would come to the service, Starfield would be a exclusive
- Sega would be bought out, with every game they made being on there. New games announced include a Sonic Adventure Trilogy (SA1, SA2, Heroes) and a Jet Set Radio sequel
- Square Enix would port their Avengers game, as well as Final Fantasy XV, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and a remaster of Tomb Raider 2013 to the service.
- Wizards of the Coast would help launch Baldur's Gate 3 on the service
- 2K confirmed support, with Borderlands 3 and NBA 2K20 coming.
- THQ Nordic would port Darksiders Genesis to the service
- Bungie's free-to-play Destiny 2 would also arrive.
- Bandai Namco would bring Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 to the service.
- Oh yeah, Farming Simulator 2020's coming too.
- Exclusives include Get Packed and Gylt (other than Ubisoft and Sega anyway)
- Codemasters' Grid would also be ported.
- Deep Silver, oh boy, it's that one studio that loves Epic Games, would also port Metro Exodus to the Stadia.
- Movie studios like WB and Lionsgate are also bringing in Mortal Kombat 11 and a Power Rangers game.
- The reboot of SNK's Samurai Showdown is also coming
- Other indie games include Thumper, and that Q-Games game
More announcements at the Gamescom show included:
- The musical indie game Kine was coming.
- So was DotEmu's Windjammers 2
- Robot has a new third installment for Orcs Must Die: exclusive for the service.
- CD Projeckt Red's new epic Cyberpunk 2077 was coming
- THQ Nordic's remake of the Alien game Destroy All Humans! was also coming.
- So was a indie FPS known as Superhot.
- And, Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle was coming
- Oh yeah, so was Watch Dogs: Legion.
- Also, last year's Farming Simulator was coming too.
