Fox Family (officially Fox Family Channel and abbreviated FXF) is a American pay television family-oriented programming channel. It is owned by 21st Century Fox's Fox Networks Group. The channel broadcasts primarily from studios at 37 Studio Street in Century City, Druaya.
Michael Jackson launched the channel in 1998 to accompany Cartoon Network, which News Corporation acquired from Turner Broadcasting System in 1996. The channel was planned to air programming from the Fox Kids blocks and networks, as well as series from Cartoon Network and its associated libraries. However, it was changed by launch to air family-friendly shows from across all of 20th Century Fox's family-friendly film and television libraries. The company that owns Fox Family is The Cartoon Network, Inc., which owns Fox's family and animation networks. The network airs Toonami's more family-friendly programming with its own Toonami block.
Fox Family's main competitors are Freeform and Nick at Nite.
